Press Release 6-11-15
Bob’s Auto Café is proud to align itself with premiere toolbox manufacturer Pitboxes.com. Made in Stockbridge, Georgia, Pitboxes.com is the go-to box for professional racers across the world, and now for automotive professionals at Bob’s Auto Café.
“This is not a traditional toolbox for an auto shop, as most of Pitboxes.com’s products have mileage, making it into race paddocks across many continents,” stated Daniel Lacy, the Executive Director at Bob’s Auto Café. “But what these toolboxes represent, and provide for Bob’s is a secure and durable toolbox that we can move about the shop and into the yard. And surprisingly, these boxes are light weight too!”
Pitboxes.com toolboxes are CAD drawn, laser cut, computer formed with an all-aluminum construction; even the drawer system is built in house. The boxes withstand constant use by race teams and not to mention many transport miles.
Ricky Sanders built his first Pitbox in 1990 not knowing that it would be the first of many. That first box was built to satisfy a need. At the time Ricky was racing in a NASCAR Sportsman, a support series to some of the bigger classes. Getting tools to and from pit lane became a challenge. The solution was to put a larger “pit” box on pneumatic tires to handle uneven surfaces and be stable. Other racers noticed, placed orders, and as the saying goes, the rest is history.
Bob’s Auto Café is a 501 (c)3 non-profit that trains people, services cars and cares for community.
